We will meet with you, at your location in the Rocky Mountain west or northern short grass plains, and collaborate to construct a piece of bespoke artwork. How it Works
We want this to be easy for you. It starts with a site visit to your property. We will ride, or walk, with you to discover the scenic vistas, quiet draws, rippling waters and wildlife haunts that make your property unique. At this time, photos and video will be taken as reference material, as well as quick pencil sketches and notes. Then, we will retire to the home, or cabin, to see the proposed wall for display. At this time, size and color palette can be discussed, to best complement the chosen room.
We will also discuss my painting style and show examples of recent works - which is best described as "representational". The style is not an extremely loose impressionistic method, nor is it highly detailed and photo realistic. Completed works are typically viewed best at a distance of 6 to 8 feet, where the details become less important than the overall feel of the scene.
After our meeting, it will be back to the studio. First contact will be of a completed pencil drawing that captures the primary subject matter and proposed composition. Once approval of the drawing is established, the painting will begin. Then, as the painting nears completion, another image will be sent out for approval, or to have a few final adjustments made to it.
